These are just a few of the places we been fortunate enough to travel:

The “INSIDE OUT” Passage, Alaska to Washington

In the summer of 2022 Calvin and Robin set off from Haines, Alaska in early July and steadily made their way south to their home on Orcas Island, WA. The trip took 87 days, with a route both through the inside passage, as well as the outer coast of central and southern BC. Read about the journey and see photos from along the trip in the Alaska to Orcas blog.

Vancouver Island Winter Circumnavigation

In 2018, Calvin became the first person to successfully circumnavigate Vancouver Island by kayak in the winter. The 47-day solo expedition included snow, 60-knot winds, record-breaking wave heights, and a January transit of the west coast of the island. Read all about the trip on the Vancouver Island Blog.

Isle Royale national park

A 19-mile open water crossing by kayak brought Calvin out to Isle Royal in the end of April. Due to persistent ice in the bays causing cancelled ferry service, he was lucky enough to be the only visitor in the park.

Slate islands, Ontario

In the summer of 2015 Calvin and Robin made the 7-mile crossing out to the Slate Islands on the northernmost portion of Lake Superior. Amazing geological formations, strong winds, and wild caribou made the week unforgettable.
