A Depth of Paddling Experience

Calvin Croll is the head coach at Future Water Paddlesports, LLC. Since 2001, he has been engaged in different outdoor education pursuits. In the past 20 years he has worked for university outdoor programs, multiple Outward Bound wilderness schools across the country, and spent two years coaching paddlesports full-time in NW Washington.

Calvin has enjoyed leading wilderness expeditions ranging from whitewater canoeing through the Texas canyonlands, to dogsledding across the northern MN border lakes, to canoeing the length of the Everglades, to backpacking the Appalachian Trail in many states, to instructing sea kayaking classes in Oregon, Washington, Maine, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. This wealth of experience as a leader and educator helps him deliver impactful classes for a wide variety of students.

Calvin is certified as a British Canoeing Advanced Sea Leader (5 star) and Sea Kayak Coach. He also holds a Level 4 Open Coastal Kayak Instructor certification from the American Canoe Association, as well as being Wilderness First Aid certified.
